Bento #39 - Sea Creatures

Left to right: cut papaya in penguin container;
Crab sausage; Dory (egg) and Pink Dolphin

The theme today is on sea animals.

Mom used 2 corn for the crab's eyes and stick a small seaweed for the mouth. As usual, the sausage was boiled so at least its slightly healthier than frying.

For the Dory fish, mom used Blueberry juice to colour the egg. It gives the egg a little sweetness and not so plain.

Mom used the Sakura Denbu for the pink dolphin.

And the sea? Mom lay some Chye Sin without the stem underneath the dolphin and fish..

You really take great pains and effort in making your kids' lunchboxes, bravo! Do you soak the egg in the blueberry juice?

Fabulous effort and awesome creation mommy! At first glance I thought the crab was octopus until u put my attention to the corn that make the crab eyes. Love it!!

Health freak mommy - yes. soak it in the blueberry juice. She love the slight flavour to her otherwise plain egg.

joyce - The pink colour for the dolphin is actually Sakura Denbu.you can see my bento #37 post. There's a link on the Sakura Denbu. You can get a pkt from Cold storage at less than $4.

renet13 - thanks. think the "crab" legs a little too long, that why it looks like octopus ;P

contendedmom - thanks:) Its her expression in the morning when she saw the bento that keeps me going:)
